Welcome Statement from The State Auditor-General of Akwa Ibom

Welcome to the website of the office of the State Auditor-General, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The office is an organ of the state government that is saddled with the responsibility of auditing the public accounts of the state as a part of the control measures over public funds.

The job of this important office is to promote accountability and transparency as essential elements of good governance.

The scope of duty for the office is as contained in Section 125 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
